ThermoCheck® Thermography detects thermal signals which can represent the earliest signs of a troubled breast. At this stage, these thermal changes do not necessarily mean there is a cancer but if they persist, they represent increased future risk.
A mammogram, by contrast is only able to detect structural diffences once these are established. Herein, lies one of the problems with mammography i.e that it does not represent early enough detection. Also, by the time a mammogram detects a mass in the breast, i if it turns out to be a cancer it may already be quite advanced and may well have started metastasising (that’s spreading into local tissues);
Early detection is incredibly important if we are going to change the tide of increasing incidence of breast cancer.
Because ThermoCheck®Thermography picks up physiological changes at a much earlier stage, it gives an unprecedented opportunity to intervene early and lower future risk. From Dr Eccles’ work at the Natural Doctor clinic in London, he has identified simple nutritional interventions that can effectively reverse the vast majority of these thermal changes, thereby reducing a woman’s risk.
It is generally recommended that you visit the Thermocheck Center every twelve months for a routine check-up. However, your Doctor may recommend more frequent visits based on your individual breast health needs.
During a routine check-up, your Clinician will make a Thermocheck scan of your breast and generate a report of your breast health. This will be accompanied by advice from our doctors on the use some specialised nutrition supplements oand/or lifestyle changes to maintain or improve your beast health.
Its a good idea to bring photo ID, and any necessary payment information. You will also have been sent prior to attending for your scan a medical questionnaire so it’s a good idea to bring a copy of this with you, There is also some information we provide to ensure that you follow correct preparation for your Thermocheck scan.
It's important to let your clinician know if you have anxiety or fear of the scan. They will work with you to help make your visit more comfortable. It is also important to know that during the scan, the clinician, or the Thermocheck apparatus does not touch your breasts, and there is no radiation involved, it is a Thermographic camera technology, so it is just like having a photo taken at about 50 cm from your breasts.
Maintaining good nutritional and emotional habits can help improve your breast health. Regular Thermocheck scans. are also important for preventing and correcting early breast problems. Our clinicians can provide personalized recommendations based on your individual results.
